In a stunning turn of events, the possible dethroning of the current Miss USA could tip the Senate back to Republican control. When reached for comment, pageant organizers cautioned that if the throne becomes vacant Dick Cheney will assume the crown, and thus will be able to cast the deciding vote in the swimsuit contest (he will, of course, vote for himself, though we all sincerely hope that he will only wear his suit when lounging at his undisclosed location.)
